Get Your Blog Found By The Search Engines

Blog directories are great places to help spread the word about your blog. By submittimg your new blog to established directories, you are allowing your site to become more visible to the search engines and subsequently to the general public. If you’ve been blogging, but your site hasn’t gained traction with your target audience consider utilizing blog directories to help you with attracting a larger audience.

EatonWeb Blog Directory is a powerful list. The fee, currently $34.99, pays for a review of your blog.

OnToplist.com is a free, manually-edited directory that reads the RSS feed of your blog.

One such site is Technorati.com Technorati’s blog directory . This site is massive. Its free to sign up and easy to submit your blog to its directory.

Once you set up our account you’ll go through the steps of submitting your blog for review. One step they give you is to verify that you are the owner of your blog by giving you a unique number identifier for you to include in a blog post. It will look something like this:

The purpose is for Technorati spiders to crawl your site as well as your rss feed to see that the indentifier is embedded. This helps speed along your confirmation process and moves you one step closer to being found by your target audience. Easy as pie.

Social Bookmarking Sites

But how do you get noticed? As an advertiser when posting in Craigslist classifieds, how do you make sure that you stand above the rest. How do you make your ad stick out and get people interested enough to click on your ad?

One recurring theme for maximizing your Craigslist classified ad is using an image ad over a text ad.

Its called Seesmic Ping and its for smart phone users. If your on the go and want to update your sites this application is for you.
